Phil joined the [Dataverse](http://dataverse.org/) team as a software developer in December 2012, but his history with IQSS goes back to 2006, when he worked on the [RCE](http://projects.iq.harvard.edu/rce).

With a degree in Psychology from the University of Dayton, he's happy to be working at [an institute dedicated to social science](http://j.mp/1FQacy4) and proud to be part of the [team](http://www.iq.harvard.edu/people/people/data-science-products) that [rewrote Dataverse](https://twitter.com/Harvard/status/635801309053067264) to be more inclusive of all science. It's hard to stop him from jumping up and giving an [impromptu talk on Dataverse](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GUr-cd_OWQ).

Phil is thrilled to see the number of Datavese installations [listed](https://groups.google.com/d/msg/dataverse-community/HceZ-0h3-ys/z706eXxICQAJ) at [dataverse.org](https://dataverse.org) grow to more than two dozen, and can often be found [answering questions](https://groups.google.com/forum/#!activity/dataverse-community/NHqWlf-oAQAJ) on the [Dataverse mailing list](https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/dataverse-community), the [\#dataverse](http://irclog.iq.harvard.edu/dataverse/today) IRC channel on freenode, and the [bi-weekly Dataverse community call](http://dataverse.org/community-calls). Every month, he jots down and sends out the [Dataverse Community News](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PtUHfBnu1gnjpZ1Uu7sEEWjW9QWAK2S9K62DbPaPHCQ/edit?usp=sharing) and always looks forward to the annual [Dataverse Community Meeting](http://dataverse.org/events).
